Mission
The Mission Action Team exists to encourage the work of Christian mission beyond the immediate area of Preston. We do this by finding out about and then promoting to the church some of the many organisations involved in local, national and international mission.
Every month we support a ‘Mission of the Month’, recent examples including LiNX Youth Trust, the
Torbay Project, Open Doors and Christian Aid. Support for these is given in the form of prayer, finance and wherever possible, personal involvement.
A good example of this is the BMS missionary with whom we are linked, or church members who have recently undertaken projects in India, Sri Lanka and Uganda. A highlight in our year is the Harvest Supper, which we organise to promote the annual harvest appeal.
