The Members
In recent years a number of old minute books recording
both deacons meetings and church meetings have been
discovered. These provide a fascinating insight into
the day to day life of the church over these past 70
years!
Earliest records currently available reveal that the
membership in 1937 stood at 81. This gradually grew
until the record of 178 members was achieved in 1963.
Over the next 32 years this number steadily declined
so that by the end of 1995 membership stood at 103.
In recent years there has been an upsurge of people
wanting to commit themselves to the life and witness
of the church. Membership currently stands at 134. This
is a major answer to our prayers.
