Every year we support Operation Christmas Child (under the umbrella of the Samaritan's Purse charity) and fill as many gift filled shoeboxes as we can.
These are then sent to needy children all around the world, distributed by local churches who also give the children the opportunity to hear the Good News about Jesus.
We have craft mornings at church to make gifts for the boxes and a box packing party to fill all the shoeboxes. Many of us fill our own boxes too, provide fillers for the box packing party and also help with the local collection campaign in November.
